APJ Abdul Kalam Medical Institute established in 2022 at Hooghly district of west Bengal in India. The motto of the organization is “Service to Humanity”. Since its inception in 2022, the association is providing consistent service to the society & its members, which provided an opportunity to the APJAKMI ( APJ Abdul Kalam Medical Institute ) authority to understand scarcity of qualified pharmacist in the areas like medical shop, community & hospital services, nursing homes, clinical pharmacies etc. and also realized that the number of pharmacists catering in West Bengal are not enough. To face challenges ahead in the profession of pharmacy and also to fulfill the cherished dream of few predecessors, APJAKMI ventured to start a pharmacy college under its own management and founded “Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Educational Trust”.
“Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Educational Trust” is duly registered by the competent authority. The motto of the trust is “upgrading of pharmacy profession” in West Bengal in particular and India in general.
Based on the above motto, “Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Educational Trust” established “APJ Abdul Kalam Medical Institute” in 2022, at Pandua, P.O - Pandua, P.S – Pandua, Dist – Hooghly, Pin – 712149, fully from philanthropic view point. The college got due approval from West Bngal State Council Of Technical And Vocational Education And Skill Development (WBSCTVESD) authority.

I am sure you will all appreciate the efforts taken by the managements in creating an academically rich environment which will motivate and kindle the learning process through “Seeing and believing”.
Right from its inception, we aim to provide state-of-art infrastructure, futuristic facilities, and technical education to our students for best learning, teaching, research, and innovation experience. Our institution is a Mecca of research and development. We have well-equipped laboratories, seminar halls, smart classes, auditorium along with separate boys and girls hostels, gymnasium and medical support with the best of facilities. To inculcate the importance of community service and social welfare, NSS camps are organized every year where our students conduct activities like Blood Donation Camp, awareness programs on AIDS and cleanliness.
We hope that one will soon realize that entering APJ Abdul Kalam Institute is a right step into an enchanting world of Pharma education and Knowledge hub. The Nation is sailing towards a knowledge based society and today’s work force needs altogether a different set of life skills to succeed in this redefined national mission mandate and to this extent the institute has an expended vision on the empowerment of students and looks beyond academics in generating not nearly “Educated youth” but also ‘employable youth’.
